If you need me, I'll be in the first row of lounge chairs right in front of the wave pool at Wild Island every day starting TOMORROW through Friday, July 7!!!!
SEE YA!!!!

Smoke and rain
There have been so many fires started in the last 2 days because of the lightning, that you can't see across the valley because of the smoke. I didn't go running Monday or Tuesday. The smoke was just too thick. But, today, we have actually gotten some rain out of the thunder storms, and I can finally see across the valley. Earlier today, I couldn't tell if it was cloudy, smoky, or both. It was dark and dreary.
Luckily today is supposed to be the last day of thunder storms, and the coolest day of the week. Right now it's only 74 degrees. By Saturday, it should be nice and sunny and hot again, just in time for wild island.
And next week the forecast is great, which it needs to be because I will be taking the week off work, and the kids and I will spend it at wild island. Plus, with Tuesday being the 4th, good weather is a must. Right?
Due to the weather, no swim lessons again this week. I now have my doubts if Kylie will learn to swim this year...guess I'll really have to work with her next week.
I totally have vacation-itis. I don't want to do anything here at work. Lucky for me the days are going by quickly. Yesterday I had to leave early to take Anthony to the dentist. Today I did lunch with Jason (Johnny couldn't join us). I'll have to find something to do tomorrow. Thursdays are my slowest days. But Friday, I will be very busy in preparation for taking the week off.
The wedding on Saturday was nice. It was just as hot up in Virginia City as it was in Reno. It was in the garden as I thought it might be, but luckily we got seats in the shade. The reception was kind of lame, because to accommodate everyone, we were in two different rooms. And we had to leave before they cut the cake, because Jason had to be at work. But I tell you, it was so nice to get out of town if even for a little while with no kids. Just Jason and I. We walked the streets hand in hand, and went into the shops without reminding those with us not to touch anything, and that we didn't have any money and would not be purchasing anything.
Anthony had a great time at camp. He came home very tired and very dirty. He goes again in three weeks. He made a bunch of new friends, and had a lot of great stories to tell. He spent most of Sunday afternoon filling us in.
I can not believe it is the end of June already. Rhett starts summer school in two weeks, so that means school starts back up in 10, or something like that. Yeah for the kids to be in school, yuck for me. I so don't want to go back...I am totally burned out. Even when I'm not going, I'm burned out.
Ok, only 15 minutes until quitting time, so I guess I better get going on cleaning up and putting things away. Yeah, finally!!!

Enough Excitement for One Day-How many times can you call 9-1-1 in a day?
When I went to lunch, some idiot girl tried to take cuts in the Taco Bell drive thru, and got out of her car, and started pounding on my window and yelling and screaming at me because I almost hit her...I called 911, because she wouldn't get back in her car and I was starting to get scared. The 911 operator was just as much of an ass as the stupid chic...I told the people at the driver thru window to spit in her food. I doubt they did, but it would have been nice.
Then, about 45 minutes ago, there was a HUGE gust of wind. I think it was just a huge dust devil that blew thru, but it felt and sounded like a tornado, and I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye, and the field across the street was up in flames. Only about 150 yards from my office window. I again had to call 911(I think I got the same ass operator. The flames were within mere feet of the house on the corner, and this jerk wants to get my name and address and how the fire started and is anyone helping to fight it. I'm like NO JERK!!! THAT'S WHY I'M CALLING YOU!!!!!TO GET THE FIRE DEPT. OUT TO FIGHT IT!!!!!! Stupid people at it again! Luckily neighbors came to the rescue, becuase it took over 5 minutes for the fire trucks to show up. And the station house is only about 2 minutes away driving the speed limit. The good samaritan neighbors saved the house. The flames could have easily hit the tree that touches the roof of the house, but the neighbor was hosing off the house and the tree, and a couple other people were using shovels to put dirt on the smaller flames. The firemen finally showed up, but there wasn't much to do. Our neighbors here at the office drove their water tanker over and used it until the FD showed up.
Ok. SO NO MORE EXCITEMENT TODAY!! I CAN'T HANDLE IT!!!!

Another Hot Day Ahead!
Hit a record high yesterday of 101. However, my thermometer in the back yard, in the sun, said 115 degrees before it started clouding up around 3:30, 4:00.
Right now, 8:15 am, my desk top says it's 70 already. It would be a great day to go to Wild Island, however, I'm stuck here, and by the time I get off, the clouds and thunder storms will probably already be upon us...so sad :(
There is a fire burning north of Reno, sparked by the lightning last night, and the valley is very smoky. My allergies will really be bothering me today.
I am so glad summer is upon us! I just have to remind my self that exactly one week from right now, I will be on my vacation and I will probably just be getting out of bed!!!! I can hardly wait. Will be spending the entire week at Wild Island, where else would you expect to find me?

What a surprise!
My hubby stopped by and said hi here at work today. What a nice surprise. He bummed some filtered water off me and used the bathroom... He shared with me the fact that he gets to have a tuna sandwich and a hard boiled egg tonight for dinner. Doesn't sound very yummy, but he has lost 5 pounds so far on his diet he's on. I don't notice any difference, but he says other people are making comments.
I'm holding right at 140. At least I'm not going up, but it doesn't seem to want to go down. But I have to keep reminding myself muscle weighs more than fat, so hopefully I'm building muscle with my walk/runs every morning. Although, I was just too tired to get up this morning. Kirby even tried to get me up, but it didn't work. That little dog loves to go for her walks.
I went home for lunch and let the doggies out. Kirby is so happy when I come home. She is just the happiest little dog. It makes you feel good to come home to her.
It's 95 degrees on my computer, but the computers down stairs say it's 101 degrees. Whatever it is, I just know it is HOT outside...It is so wonderful! Happy Summer! Happy Summer! Happy Summer!
Last night, dinner was more that we were going to eat, so I took what was left over to Andrea. They had already eaten, but she was excited to have it for tonight. She doesn't have AC in her house, and she says turning on the oven to fix dinner just kills her. The house is already 80 some odd degrees, and it goes up with the oven on in just a matter of minutes. I told her to come over to my house to sit in the AC. The kids can play and we can visit. I hope she takes me up on the offer.
I'm hoping I won't have to be here too late this evening. So I better go and finish what's sitting in front of me.

Things are heating up
It is 1:06 p.m. (pdt) and my desk top weather channel thing says it is 87 degrees. They are saying it should hit 93 today, and 99 tomorrow, and 100 by Saturday. WOOh HOOH!
I'm thinking the wedding Saturday is going to be outside, because there are something like 200 some odd guests. It is up in Virginia City at the Mackey Mansion, which has been made into a beautiful bed and breakfast. But then the reception is at the Delta Saloon...talk about red-neck. But, the lady getting married is Jason's co-worker, so we are like obligated to go. I received a wok for a Christmas present that I will never use, because I already have one, so I'm giving that as our gift. A pass-along gift...You know we've all received them and we've all given them...
I'm still bitter about my own wedding. For some odd reason, all our guests gave us picture frames for our presents. They were nice, but, come on, Jason and I were young, we were both leaving our mothers homes for the first time, and we had nothing. We needed plates, silverware, towels, pot and pans, you know, things you really need, but we got picture frames...half of the frames I didn't even use until after Anthony was born...2 years after we were married...So, now when I go to weddings, I have a hard time getting gifts for the newlyweds; I feel they should get picture frames...
Jason likes to buy gifts from their registries, but I have a hard time doing that. It's like they are begging for gifts. If you don't buy exactly what we want, than we don't want a present from you. A gift is supposed to be just that, a gift. Given by the giver as a nice thing to do. But it's all about the money and being better than the Smith's...I just have a hard time with that. Get over it. You're gonna get gifts you don't like, in the wrong color, and there will be duplicates. Deal with it. At least those attending your wedding brought a gift. They don't have to you know....
When Jason and I were living in Utah after we were married, one of my co-workers was getting married. I asked her what she wanted or needed. This sounds crazy, but she said of all the things she'd already received, she really needed a broom, a dust pan, a mop and a mop bucket. The place they had rented had no carpet, just lino, and she figured that she'd be needing the above mentioned items. So I got her those things. I got some strange looks when I went to her reception, but she later told me, it was the most practical gift she had received, and it probably had more use than all the other gifts combined. It's the little things like that that newlyweds need, not fancy china or silver they will only use twice a year...
When my brother-in-law and his fiance got married 3 years ago, they registered for things like a big huge flat screen tv, a gas bbq grill, a lawn mower, furniture, pictures for their house walls, huge ticket items. I'm sorry, first of all, they'd been living together for like 2 years, and they just wanted to upgrade from the crap they had (or what they perceived to be crap). Jason and I didn't get them anything. It was enough that they made all 3 of our children be in their wedding, and then her mother was rude to me because Rhett wouldn't stand still for pictures.(He was like 3 or 4, and hadn't had a nap). I had my revenge though, because they had left Rhett's diapers at their house, and so he was running around during the reception with no diaper on, and somewhere in the park, he took a crap...Never did find out if someone found it... It was a totally red neck wedding, but they tried to cover it up, which made it even worse. What ever-to each his own.
I'll probably go out to the water park again tonight. Can't go Friday with the wedding being in the middle of the day. Got to get the sun any chance I can. But tonight I have to color my hair (the greys are starting to scare me too much)(and I want to go red for the summer instead of brown) and I need to give my self a pedicure. I'll be busy tonight.
Watched the first show of Big Brother 7 last night. Could they have possibly picked more stupid people to put back in that house? Only like 3 of the people I want back in. The rest totally suck! And Cappy wasn't even an option. Anthony will be disappointed. I'm voting for Erika(my most favorite) Chicken, and Marcellas. I wish we could vote for people we DON'T want back in the house as well. I'd vote every 10 minutes for Jannelle, stupid little dumb blond bimbo! I'm sure she'll get back in because all the dumb men in the world think she's hot...if she does get back in, I just won't be able to stomach it, and I'll have to miss season 7. Even her voice grats on my nerves. I just can't stand her. If I ever passed her on the street, I'd probably have to spit on her...Hate her!!!
Sienna keeps getting out of the yard. She goes back to Carolyn on Sunday. I can hardly wait. She is such a pain in the butt. My manicurist said to put barded wire on the top of the fence like they do at prisons. I think that's not a half bad idea. Maybe if the idiot dog cuts herself up trying to scale the fence, she'll think twice the next time...She really has some springs on those legs of hers to be able to clear a 6 foot fence. Jason wants to put in an 8 foot fence, but I think the barbed wire would be more fun. Plus, it may deter the Stupid people mentioned before in my blog from trying to get in our yard and break into our house to find what they couldn't find in the trucks....I still hate stupid people. Always have, always will.
By the way, it has heated up to 89 degrees now...

HAAAAPY SUUUUMMER!!!
First official day of summer! I couldn't be happier. How will I celebrate it? Well, I'm going for my bikini wax in about an hour. Will spend another boring day at work, after which I will pick up Rhett from Grandma's house and Kylie from pre-school, and then we will go grocery shopping. Not much fun, huh?
Yesterday evening the three of us went to Wild Island for a couple of hours. When Jason arrived to work, he bought us each an ice cream cone, which saved me from having to go to Baskin Robbins for $1 scoop night. Then, one of the managers gave the kids Dipping Dots.
Kylie had a bad dream that Anthony was hurt bad at scout camp. She was pretty upset about it. But I got her to forget about it by picking out clothes for the day.
Rhett conned Grandma into buying him new bedding for his bed. He just HAD to have the sheets and "comfortable" that have the "Cars" on them. He hasn't even seen the movie yet, but he loves anything and everything "Cars". He also talked her into a clock radio that has Lightning McQueen on it, and an area rug with him on it also. Hey, I can't complain, it caused him to go home and make his bed and clean his room after swimming last night...
So, since I don't get to go spend the day at Wild Island on Saturday, because Jason and I have a wedding to go to, we'll be headed out again after I get off work tomorrow for a couple of hours again. Can't go Friday either, cuz' I'm stuck at work until late for inventory.
Much congrats to one of my dearest friends in the whole wide world, Janika, on her marriage last Saturday. May you and Mike find much happiness in life together!!!

Another day ahead
I just love summer, and tomorrow is the first official day of it! YEAH!!!!
Swimming lessons have been cancelled again today, so I am taking Rhett and Kylie to Wild Island when I get off work today.
Anthony left for his first week of Scout camp yesterday morning, so he won't be attending Wild Island with us. It was very quiet without him home yesterday. The two little ones played across the street ALL afternoon and evening, and when I went to tell them to come home, Andrea and I got to talking and didn't leave until 9 pm.
I'm so happy that Andrea and her family are not moving now. It was some of the best news I've had in a while.
Read on one of my very best and dearest friends from my youth's blog, she got remarried over the weekend. Best of luck and congrats to her!!!! It has been years since I've seen her, but thank goodness for the world wide web, we manage to keep in touch somewhat. I think we've know each other since we were 8 or 9 years old.
Supposed to be a scorcher today and even hotter as the week progresses. I am not complaining, because as before stated, I love summer!!!!! Why should I hate the hot weather? I live in an air conditioned house, I drive and air conditioned car, and I work in an air conditioned office. And I practically live at wild island...so no worries!!!!

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!!!
Kylie Jane has lost her first tooth! It occured around 3:00 p.m. (pdt) Saturday, June 16, 2006 at Wild Island. Witnesses report the tooth becoming slightly loose earlier in the day after the victim ate a sliced Fuji apple before attending the water festivities at the water park. Through out the day, the victim continued to wiggle the said tooth without stopping. Her mother figured the tooth would fall out in a week or so, but while eating Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dipping Dots, the tooth began to bleed, so the "Security Guard" took the victim to the First Aid office on the Wild Island premises where, while trying to clean up the blood, the tooth just fell out with out a fight. The EMT ladies put the tooth in a little cup and taped it up so the tooth would not become lost at the park and sent her back to finish eating her Dipping Dots. Follow up reports have yielded the fact that the Tooth Fairy left $3.00 for the tooth under the pillow. The victim has stated she will save the money to buy something at a later date.

Too Busy-Too much Stress
Just found out last night that Anthony needs a physical to go to Scout camp on Monday. I thought the one from last year was good for 2 years, but appearantly not...So I called the Doctor and they told me they couldn't get me in. When I explained what it was for, the receptionist said she'd talk to the doctor and call me back. They can get him in tomorrow at 2pm.
Rhett had another bloody nose this morning. He said he didn't pick it this time, it just started bleeding... He was so cute yesterday. He made $5 helping grandma out and he wanted to use it to get dad something for fathers day. He picked out the card, which had to have something hunting on it (He got one with a phesant) and he thought it would be good to buy dad some stamps so I don't have to get them for him anymore. He gave me his money so I could take care of that today.
I told the 3 kids what I thought we should do for dad, giving them several ideas, and let them decide what to do for their dad. We got him some shorts, and they want to go to PF Chang's for dinner on Sunday. It was fun to see them decide what to do, what to get him and where to go for dinner.
Kylie is starting to work on writing her letters this summer-they have 2 letters a day, and are making little booklets. She is pretty good with her A's, but the B's are a little tougher. She is so excited to learn and says she'll be already for kindergarten in the fall.
Jason was able to get his window replaced yesterday. Billed out to insurance. We have vandalism coverage, so we shouldn't have to pay much.
Still a little afraid to be home during the evening, and sleep isn't very restful, because I'm afraid we'll be hit again. Got up yesterday morning and this morning and looked out the window first thing to make sure the cars were ok.
Went running/walking with Kirby again. She just loves it...and I have lost 6 pounds. That right there will help me keep up the good work. If I can go in 6 pound increments, I'll be to the weight I want in no time at all! I'd like to loose 15 more pounds and keep it off. I feel confident I can do it if I keep running/walking every morning, and swimming 2 or 3 times a week. Only one chance to swim this week unfortunalty...cancelled swimming on Tuesday, and I have something going on tonight and tomorrow night at church...oh well, I'll really have to swim a lot on Saturday to make up for lost time....:)
My allergies are about killing me today...sneezing like crazy and have a sinus headache...plus, I'm wearing a new handband around my head which isn't helping. I've decided to let my hair grow out, but I know it's going to drive me crazy, so I got a bunch of new rubber band head bands yesterday. I just have to get use to them I guess.
Andrea from across the street just called-Sienna is out of the yard. She is going to put her back. I'm wondering if the gate is open or if she jumped the fence. If it's the later, she's gonna have to be put in the kennel during the day. Not fun for her, but I don't want to take any chances. Dumb dog. This morning I went to put her and Kirby outside, and Sienna ran right head first into the glass door. She kinda fell back and looked this she really rang her bell. Maybe she had brain damage. 2 weeks of dealing with her...yuck!
Well, gotta run all my statements through the postage machine...

Still don't like people, but it's better than yesterday
Nothing happened to the cars over the night, but I was totally paronoid all night, didn't get much sleep. So I woke up early and went running with Kirby.
The bad weather yesterday (rain and snow in the mountains-doesn't mother nature know it's June?) caused swimming lessons to be cancelled, and that was like the highlight of my day with the cars getting broken in to.
Jason didn't get the broken window replaced yet, our friend who is a glass guy couldn't fit him in, but today he should have no problem. Jason's seat got all wet from the rain, in case you hadn't guessed...
The saying when it rains it pours really applied yesterday...
Kylie joined her new group at Pre-School on Monday. She's in the Hearts now. And she's a rester instead of a napper, which I think I made a mistake with. She has come home the last two days very tired, and totally acting like a whiny baby. Monday I sent her to her room, and while she was throwing a temper tantrum, she fell asleep. Yesterday, It threatened her with the same banishment to her room, and she did a little better. If every day seems to be bad, I will change her back to a napper. It's not fair for the boys and I to have her be a crab ass all evening...
Anthony got so bit by misquitos on Saturday. His right arm is just covered-looks like he has a disease, and his hand is really bad. He couldn't even move his fingers on Sunday. I had to make an emergency run to Wal-Mart to get some Benedryl and hydrocortisone cream. He's doing better now, but I think he's afraid to go out again. And the bad thing is, he was covered with bug spray!!! What would the poor boy look like had he not been wearing it?
Rhett woke up this morning with a bloody nose. He confessed he was picking his nose. He said, "I guess that's what I get for picking my nose, huh mom?" At least it stopped right away. He doesn't get nose bleeds very often, but when he does, from picking it or whatever, it usually bleeds for what feels like days.
Jason has to work again at Wild Island on Saturday. I really liked having him out there this past week. Even though the man is not a swimmer, he sat in the shade and it was fun to go see him in between our slide rides and swimming.
Finally convinced Kylie she could touch the bottom of the lazy river, and now she is so excited and feels so grown up. The water comes to her chest, but she was so afraid she'd be too short to touch last year. I bet she's swimming on her own by the end of the summer with Wild Island and swimming lessons...
Sienna came into heat on Sunday, so she is home now for her two week cycle. Figures. Kodi just got done yesterday. I'm just hoping Kirby doesn't come in again. She was just in back in March (her first one). Kodi and Kirby need to be spayed, but we have just never made it a priority, and I'm so afraid to put Kirby under and have surgery done on her. I love her so much and she is my baby. Can't spay Sienna until after Carolyn is done breeding her. So every time she comes into season, we get to have her home...such fun. But what a difference the past 4 months with Carolyn have been. She is so obedient and much more calm and gentle. I actually like her now...
I totally wore Kirby out with our little walk/jog this morning. While I got ready for work, she just crashed in her "Scottie bed" in the bathroom and slept. She is the best dog. She follows me around the house and will lay down near where I'm at. When I'm in the kitchen fixing dinner, she lays on the rug in front of the sink. As stated, in the mornings, she hangs out with me in the bathroom. At night when I'm getting ready for bed, she follows me back and forth all over the house. When I water the garden in the evenings, she sits right at the gate and watches me. If I go in the front yard, she sits at the screen door or on the back of the couch and watches me. And when I sit down to relax in the recliner, she is on my lap. And of course she sleeps with me at night. Either by my feet, or on my pillows between my head and the headboard of the bed. My sister had a scottie dog years ago, that I really liked whenever we'd visit, and she is the reason why I always wanted a scottie dog. Now I have one, and it was the best purchase I could have ever made. I will forever own a scottie dog now. I have already said that when Kirby gets old, I will buy another puppy, and the cycle will continue until my dying day... IT'S A SCOTTISH TERRIER THING, YOU JUST WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND.
Work is so slow today. Not only have I done all my jobs for the morning, but time is inching along. It's not even lunch yet, I am starving, and I am bored.
It's clouding up-chance of showers again today-but it's supposed to be warm again by Friday. If it's not, and my Saturday at wild island is messed with again, I will not be happy. I've already missed 2 weeks of wild island because of the weather, when they were scheduled to open in May. Don't come between my and my wild island. It isn't pretty!
I am reading "Vanity Fair" by William Makepeace Thackeray. It's an old classic. It was supposed to be my summer reading, but I'm already half way through, and I just started reading it last Monday.
It's finally almost lunch time, so I'll stop boring you, for now...

I just hate stupid people!
I guess I can't spell, after looking over my last blog. But that's not why I'm here today...Some ASS HOLE!!! broke into all 3 of our cars last night sometime between 2am and 5 am. Totally ransacked my car, didn't take anything, but, busted out the window in Jason's truck with a rock, and stole his security tazer, and ransacked it as well, and they broke into the hunting truck and stole the speakers and amp out of it.
We were the only cars on the street that were hit, so it had to have been someone that knows us or watches us, and we think they were probably looking for guns. Good thing they didn't find any, because what would I have to use on them when we find them?
See why I hate stupid people? Actually, I don't care if you're stupid, I just hate all people. They are all guilty until proven innocent, and they are all thugs until they prove to me they aren't. No wonder Jason treats everyone like they are jerks. Because they are. I on the other hand, try to find some good in everyone, but no more. So be forwarned! I hate you all now. And yes, I suspect all minorities first! God bless the white race!!!!
And don't plan on coming back to my home, or you will end up with a bullet lodged somewhere in your genital area! I will be awake nights now watching for your stupd ass!!!! And I shoot to hurt, not kill. I like to watch people suffer for being stupid! Just like I've had to suffer because you used your stupidity on my property!
Jason has always agreed with a country song that says, I wouldn't hurt you, but my girlfriend might. Jason will go leagal will your sorry ass, but I won't. Be afraid, very afraid!!!!!
And anoter thing that totally pisses me off, is Jason has to miss a day of work now to file a report for the tazer and the charges, and fix his window.
Also, the rest of the world should be ware-some stupid person, who probably isn't wearing his sign has a tazer, and doesn't know how to use it!!!!!!!!

Finally Working?
I tried to post yesterday, but the thing just didn't seem to be functioning properly yesterday.
So, do fill you in on my FABULOUS day off on Wednesday. Got up and showered and took Anthony to school at 7:45. Came home, and got Kylie and Rhett ready for school, and took Kylie to pre-school and then Rhett to school.
I came home and read my book for a little while, then I went to TJ Maxx to get a new swim suit and a small gift for Rhett's teacher to thank her for all her hard work and for putting up with Rhett.
Took a very short nap-about 15 minutes-and had to go pick up Anthony from School at 11:30. He is now officially an 8th grader. UGH! I'm not old enough to have a kid in the 8th grade.
As 12:50 rolled around, Anthony and I walked down to the school-Anthony picked up Kylie, and I met Rhett and gave his teacher the gift I got for her. She was crying, and it made me cry. She has been such a good teacher this year, and she really loved this class.
We practically ran home, changed into our swim suits, and hit the road for Wild Island. We got our good seats right up front by the wave pool, slathered on the sun block (spf 45) and hit the water! It was great weather. High clouds kept it cool enough to be comfortable. The wind picked up in the afternoon, but that always happens in Nevada.
Rhett and I went down the eye of the dragon together-didn't make that one last summer-it was fun. Except I forgot to take my contacts out before we left the house, and the cholorine water was making them sticky...Also, we went down Sring Ray. Rhett loves to go down the slides now. No fear this summer.
Ran into an old boy-friend from high school. He was there with his 3 sons. Funny how all my old boyfriends have gained weight, and have lost hair. I guess we've all put on weight, but my dear sweet hubby is the only guy I ever dated that still seems to have a full head of hair. So glad for that. I guess since my dad has been pracitically bald my whole life, I like guys with hair. Jason has plenty, enough for two people.
We stayed at wild island until close at 5pm. I had fun laying on the lounge chair watching people run into the wave pool, and then slip and fall on thier butts. They re-finished the surface over the winter and it is so slick now. If you go running in, it hasta! You will fall, and I will laugh. Didn't people ever learn that you don't run around pools? Another item parents these days seem to be slaking on...I on the other hand, really get after my kids if they run. And if they fall, I don't kiss it better, I just tell them, Well, you shouldn't have been running, huh? It's your own fault.
Hated to come back to work on Thursday. I need to plan my entire week off sometime soon.
Andrea across the street may not be moving after all. I sure hope they stay.
Ran into an old friend from 3rd ward. She didn't recognize me. No one ever recognized me. I guess I really change a lot. My manicurist says it's my hair. Which is true. I do tend to change my hair style A LOT!!! But I don't feel like I've changed much since high school, which has been 16 years now...wow...I'm getting old!!! :(
Jason and Anthony are going to Larry the cable guy tonight. Anthony is so excited. Tomorrow, Anthony is heading out with Carolyn to throw birds for her. Lucky guy will get to see Sienna and make some money.
I have to get the house cleaned and laundry done tonight so Rhett, Kylie and I can get to wild island by open (11:00). Jason will be joining us at noon, but he will be working undercover trying to catch pick-pockets. We think we spotted some one on Wednesday. If he's there Saturday, I have to point him out so Jason can keep an eye on him and take him down if needs be.
Anyways, should get back to work, even though I don't want to. Less than 2 hours of this place left!!!!

Much needed time off...
So happy that I have tomorrow off. It is the last day of school for Anthony and Rhett. When they get home, we will go get Kylie and spend the rest of the day at Wild Island.
We went there on Saturday, and just had a great time. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but it picked up by the time we left. It was so good to swim and frolic in the water finally. I ended up with a ton of water in my ears, but I didn't complain. The water in the wave pool is still a little on the cool side, but the lazy river temp was great. We went around the river twice. Spent most of the time in the wave pool. Kylie is finally tall enough this summer to go down the slides by her self, so she had to go down the Tortuga. She had fun, but we didn't do any of the other slides yet.
I guess I am seriously out of shape. I had a hard time swimming the length of the wave pool, and Sunday and Monday, I was totally sore. I'm glad I will have a lot of opportunties to swim this summer, maybe I can kick my butt back into shape.
The kids start swimming lessons tonight at my father-in-laws community pool. He lives in a private gated community, and they have a lady that teaches all the kids how to swim in private lessons. The pool is really nice, and I'll be using the lap pool in my effort to get in shape.
Rhett had a little Bar b q at the park with his school today, so I went for a little while. His teacher this year has been so good, and I will really miss her. I will for sure be asking for her when Kylie gets to 1st grade next year. The kids had fun at the bbq-they ate, had bubbles, and were busy trying to catch frogs and tadpoles. It was nice to sit with Rhett and be with him while we ate.
Jason bought a book Sunday that is for SWAT physical training. I think we will both be doing it together. Some great workouts for getting in shape. He wants to be in shape by the time the next POST starts in October, in case he gets picked up by UNR PD or the Sheriff's dept. I sure hope he gets picked up by one of the agencies, it would mean only 1 job instead of two, and more money. He looked into the LV PD, and found they start out paying more, and you get more raises, but I don't want to move to LV. Sure it would be nice to be near my sister, but I think the heat would kill me, and I don't want to leave my job here. I like me job, and the thought of trying to find another job just scares me to death. But we'll see.
Had a great dinner Sunday~rib eye steaks, and king crab legs. YUM YUM. Working at a seafood supplier sure does have its perks. There were 3 legs left, and no one wanted them, so we gave them to our neighbors. They were so excited, and couldn't thank us enough.
I am so glad the weather has finally warmed up. It's supposed to be in the mid-90's today. It was weird to think on Saturday, while we were enjoying the nice warm weather while we were swimming, that just the Saturday before it was snowing. Stupid snow. I hope I don't see any of it for many months.
Had a small brush fire in the area yesterday. Luckily no homes or structures were lost, but there could have been. Thanks to our great firefighters, they do such a good job.
Anthony has an opportunity to go out to Fallon with Carolyn on Saturday. He'll make some money, but he'll miss out on Wild Island with me and his siblings.
Saturday morning we went to the annual Boy Scout Show and Breakfast. The proceedes of course go to help out he area's boy scouts. There were a couple of fire trucks, a cop car and motorcyle, the bomb squad, and the Highway patrol mobile unit there. Rhett had way too much fun climbing in and on the fire trucks. He wants to be a fire man when he grows up.
Kodi still in heat. Such a joy. Sienna has a rash on her belly that won't go away, so I have to go to the vet tomorrow to get special shampoo and ointment and take it out to Carolyn. Kirby of course is the best Scottie dog in the world, and I just love her. I tell her everyone should own a scottie dog in the world, and the world would be a better place to live, because everyone would be so full of love, and be so loved by their pecious scottie dogs.
It's a Scottish Terrier thing, you just wouldn't understand....

So glad it's Friday
Went shopping with all 3 kids on Wednesday. Tell you what...it totally wore me out. I was SO tired by the time I was done, I went right to bed after fixing dinner. Woke up yesterday still tired. I'm sure some of the fatigue is due to my Evil Aunt Flo being here.
Rhett had $20 in his wallet, just eating it up, so I had to take him to Wal Mart yeterday to spend it. He bought some construction set that is magnets that make some pretty cool things. Then he was mad because it used up all his money and he didn't get any back. I offered to take him back in the store to get his money back, but he wasn't happy with that idea other, and then we saw his teacher from school, and he cheered up. The child is crazy. Or either that I am, and I'm sure if that's the case, it's because he made me that way.
Kylie had a fun day with her great Grandma on Wednesday. They went shopping, and of course she made out like a bandit. New clothes, new shoes, toys, and lunch from Taco Bell. She is like the only grandkid that does see Grandma every day because she's the only one in pre-school. Anthony at least gets to say hi in the morning when I drop Rhett off. And my nieces are there practically every day because my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are doing so much, they have no place for the girls to go after school. We'd all be in a world of hurt if something were to happen to grandma. Actually, Jason and I'd be better off than Tami and Mark, because we'd just put Rhett in Noah's Ark in the morning. In the afternoon, he goes home after school, and Anthony watches him. I tell ya, it's nice to have a kid old enough to babysit...
Christy called me this morning. She is coming up on the 12th. She said she'd call me again tonight. She better.
One of Jason's customers in Fernley has a Scottie pup that she got from the same breeder as Kirby and Christy's dog, Taylor that could possibly be Taylor's sister and Kirby's half sister. I told him to find out more info next week when he goes back out there. I'm thinking it probably is Taylor's litter mate, because she is brindle, just like Taylor. It think the litter born 2 weeks after Taylor were all blacks. Kirby and Taylor have the same mommy dog. But Kirby's daddy dog passed away last October.
Kodi came into heat on Wednesday. She is about a month early. Last heat was right during Christmas, and dogs generally go every 6 months. What a pain having her in heat is. She hates wearing her doggie panties, she smells bad, licks herself way too much, and hates being outside all the time. Anthony said tonight she sleeps in the kennel, because she tosses and turns all night long. Plus, she also moans all night long. Cramps maybe? Or just hates being in heat because having a period just sucks so much?
I'd love to get her fixed, since we never plan on breeding her since she is so gun shy, but she's 5 years old, and the vet said it would totally screw her up if we fixed her this late in life after having so many heats.
Anthony had to play in Jazz Band last night for the 8th grade award/graduation program. When I dropped him off, I was totally amazed at some of the clothes, or should I say lack there of-some of the girls were wearing. I was shocked! One girl had on a totally sheer black dress that was only about 2 inches below her but, not that it mattered since it was sheer, you could see her black panties (luckily she wasn't wearing a thong, or I might have thrown up on her) and her black bra. She looked like she should have been workign 4th Street on a corner at one of the adult cabarets, not graduating from 8th grade. It was so awful. I can't believe her parents, or guardians, or whatever would even let her out of the house, and I can't believe the school would let her in the doors. I'd have made her go home and change, or find a lab coat to put on her. If that little tramp ever reads my blog, I hope she take note! Wear a dress, not a negligee.
Anyways, have to leave work early today to take Kirby to the vet to have a follow-up on her ear surgery of last week. Darn. I hate to leave work early. Especially on a Friday.
But I'm off next Wednesday. It's the last day of school, the boys are out by 1pm, Wild Island opens at 1:00 so guess were we'll be next Wednesday? We'll also be there this Saturday all day, unless they choose not to open again because it's cloudy. Darn weather. It's warm today, just very cloudy. And windy, but it's always windy here...
Have a great weekend one and all. I'm sure I will!!!
