Luck?

If I didn't have bad luck, I probably wouldn't have any at all.

Rhett got drafted to his baseball little leauge team, and the practices start on March 9, and go throught the end of May. They are two hours long, and are going to be every FRIDAY AND SATURDAY from 5:30/6:00 to 7:30/8:00. Talk about ruining my weekends...And this doesn't include the game times. I'd like to know how you can expcect a bunch of 7 year old boys to practice that long, and on the weekends. Rhett may re-think this when it all starts happening. And since Jason works both Friday and Saturday nights, guess who gets to take him to the practices? Yep, yours truly...I knew I hated baseball for several reasons. I think baseball may rank right up there with winter in my mind. I made the mistake of marring a baseball man...I knew that going in, but man. I've been lucky. He can't play any more because of his shoulder injury and $10,000 surgery, and Anthony is not athletic. I'd prefer soccer over baseball though.

Kylie starts ballet next Tuesday. But that is only on Tuesdays, and class is only 45 minutes. I can handle that. Plus, it's indoors, where it's warm, and it doesn't interfer with my weekends.

Friday's, I often go out after work with my co-workers for a while. They drink, I make fun of them, or I take the kids out to Coconut bowl and let them play. Saturdays is when Jason and I go out once a month.

Guess I should stop complaining. It could be worse. I can't think what that could be, but you get the idea.

It's time to go home, get the kids, and go grocery shopping.

What we did to celebrate Kylie's b-day...

We got a bunch of snow, and made the best of it by pulling out the quads and riding up and down the street, sliding, doing donuts, and pulling a sled. We had quite the time. The one and only time you'll ever hear me say I liked the snow!!!!

Happy Birthday Kodi

Kodi is the brown dog #1. She is 6 today. She is one day older than Kylie. Kodi does not care that today is her birthday. Even though I gave her 3 scooby snacks before I went to church today. Whatever, happy birthday Kodiak!!!!

For Miss Kylie's birthday, we had Wing Stop for dinner, made pink cupcakes for Kindergarten tomorrow, and my sister, Elaine is staying the night because she came up to visit my dad, but 80 is closed because of snow.

Have I mentioned I hate snow? It has pretty much snowed all day, but the roads have remained clear. That might not be the case in the morning, though, so I should probably go to bed since I should get up earlier than normal. Man, I hate snow.

My father in law and his wife came over and gave Kylie her presents after church. She got a TON of new clothes from Kid Gap, a couple of shoes, and a paint set. She also go a porcelain Belle doll to put on her self with her other porcelain dolls. Daddy & I got her an elephant hair bracelet like mine.

Tomorrow night Kylie gets to have shrimp scampi for dinner and ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. I get seafood cheap at work, and my kids have grown up with seafood. They love it.

I have been fighting a migraine all day, this is just one long run on blog. I'll go to bed now.

Quote from Dove chocolate wrapper

"Smile, others will wonder what you're up to."

Eweee..

It's snowing. And it's windy. And it's cold.

I have the picture of my swimsuit I ordered sitting next to me to remind me that this AWUFL weather is only temporary.

I think I need to be in Fiji right now.

Busy life is coming...

Rhett has decided he wants to play little league this spring. I have to take him to sign up tonight.

And since Rhett "gets to do something", we have to put Kylie in ballet again.(not that that's a bad thing)

Not sure what the baseball schedule will be, but ballet is every Monday at 5pm, for 45 minutes. Luckily Jason will have Monday's off until around May 21. May have to enlist my father in law for help...he's always willing to help with stuff like that.

I figure my easy life is over. Anthony will be in high school in August, and with him being in band, I'm sure I'll be running all over for that. Plus, he's going to go to a school we're not zoned for because my brother in law is a math teacher there, and it's a better school.

Guess I better get used to it. Any suggestions Kim?

Weekend update

The satellite guy finally came on Saturday!!!! Jason has been fighting with Dish Network since December 9 trying to get a broken box fixed, and getting DVR installed. To make a really long story short...Dish Network has screwed up enough we got the DVR box for free, we have 2 months free HBO & Cinemax, 1 month free local, and 1 month free unlimited pay per view. We've had about 12 appointments for installs, and the guy finally showed up! Jason is like a little boy on Christmas morning with the DVR now. He's so cute.

The weather was BEAUTIFUL on Saturday, and since I was finally feeling better, I worked outside a bit sweeping up the dirt from the flower pots the neighborhood cat scattered everywhere, and picking up the leaves from all the other trees that blow into our yard (I don't have any trees in the front yard, so none of the leaves are mine).

Kylie and Rhett spent most of the day outside with the boys across the street on their scooters and bikes and pogo stick. My driveway is now a beautiful work of sidewalk chalk art. Both kids received sunburns on their cheeks and noses.

The dish network guy finally finished up in time for Jason and I to sit down and watch the UNR basketball game on ESPN2. They played N. Iowa, and won, of course. The game was here at Lawlor, and I really wanted to go, but it was sold out. Found out later in the evening, we could have gotten two tickets in the 8th row from the manager at Wild Island, because he didn't go...I was not happy. Needless to say, I told Jason the manager has to take care of me now with passes, etc...:)

Ended up with a migrane Saturday night, with no meds to treat it, so I had to go to Wal Mart to get some. While I was there, Rhett got an i-tune card, so we came home and purachased a ton of new tunes for all our i-pods. I love my i-pod. It is stuck in my ear about 12 hours a day now that I finally have one of my own (don't have to borrow Rhett or Anthony's) Jason says I'm worse than the kids. What can I say, I love music?!

Church was great yesterday. It was High Council Sunday, and usually those are way boring, but yersterday I really needed the talks, and totally felt the spirit. It was so nice. Primary was great too.

I found a swim suit I really like on line, and printed out a picture to remind me to keep loosing the weight (up to 12 pounds gone now) and Jason ended up ordering it for me. Can't wait for it to get here, and for the right season to get here so I can actually wear it.

Oh, speaking of which, the season passes have now gone on sale at Wild Island, so I'm a happy girl. Job fairs start next month, Anthony will be applying for a food runner job. It'll be cool to have him working there...we get 1/2 price food when he's working. Food there is expensive.

Talked to my dad last night. Mom is not doing good at all. She seems to just be in a fog all the time now. She's getting to where she doesn't recognize dad, and barely acknowledges him when he's there, and she has completely lost control of her bodily functions. It's hard on dad. I know mom is in oblivion, but those of us with our minds still in tact, have a very hard time with mom like this. I just pray the end is near for her. She needs to leave this world and go home to her loving Heavenly Father and join the family that has gone ahead of her, and be hole again.

I'm so grateful for the gospel that gives me the peace I need to get through mom's disease and eventual death. I know she will continue to live after she leaves this world, and I know I will see her again, and she will be healthy again. How grateful I am for that knowledge and understanding.

Better Beta-Blogger?

Whoes idea was that? Seems I have nothing but trouble since I've been forced to change.

Sorry everyone, seems I can't post comments on your blogs now. But know I read them and think of you often!

It's good to hear so much from Janika! And stuff... And I miss hearing from Mary Anne. Where is she?

Love all you guys though! Take care and get better all!

Yuck!

I went to work yesterday, and felt pretty good. I guess I did too much, cuz today I feel bad again. During the night, my throat got sore again, and my kidney's hurt. But I don't have a fever, so I'm not going to waste my time and money going to the doctor to have them tell me there is nothing they can do, it just has to run it's course, and I can take OTC meds.

Who know, maybe I'm just suffering PMS. I use to get the same symptoms as strep throat in high school right before my monthly visitor. After I had Anthony, those symptoms stopped...but maybe they have come back...?! I guess I'll know by the end of the week.

Anthony washed his cell phone over the weekend; it doens't work now. Jason in very mad at him. We thought he was old enough to have a cell phone, but half the time he either doesn't have it or doesn't even have it on. This just proves it. What makes us mad it that it was a brand new phone in November. Needless to say, Jason has grounded him from just about everything but homework and saxaphone practice.

Rhett lost a tooth at school yesterday. Tooth fairy gave him $3. He was so excited about losing at school. It fell out in an apple during lunch. He said it bled a lot, but his friends thought it was cool.

I had to supply 25 cookies for Kylie's Valentine's party tomorrow. I was actually going to make cookies until I got sick. So I took the easy route and bought pre-made valentines cookies at Wal Mart. I feel bad. I'm such a sad mom. My sickness makes me lazy. But on the other hand, I guess I shouldn't be baking and passing more germs around, right?

Went out to start the Suburban this morning, and it was snowing. Instantly put me in a bad mood. Luckily it didn't snow long or stick much, and driving was fine. Have I mentioned before how much I hate winter and snow?

Arrived to work yesterday and over the weekend, someone had rammed the gate of our perimiter fence, got in the yard, and broke out windows in our delivery trucks and salesmen trucks. I was a mess. The corporate office is making us get lights and cameras now. Kind of scarry. It had to be someone targeting us, because no one else on our block got hit. Jason and I think it was the guy we had to lay off last week. Everyone else here doesn't think so.

So, anyways, I should get back to work.

I got it...

The cold everyone else in this world has had, that is. Woke up yesterday morning with a sore throat, achy, stuffy, and had a low-grade fever. Spent most of the day in bed. Actually called in sick to church today, I haven't done that in sooo long, I can't even remember when. Spent most of the day in bed this morning, but I had to get up to at least attempt laundry. Luckily I already planned a crock pot meal, so dinner is easy.

Jason and the kids took Sienna back into the kennel for the last of her training, and it was nice and quiet around here. Now Jason in out side, taking apart our fence that is about to blow over from the wind. Both doggies still at home are sleeping with Anthony, the two little ones are quietly playing in their rooms, and I am charging my i-pod and blogging. I am going to take a hot bath when I'm done.

I have my stash of medicine and air-borne, so I hope I get better fast!

The sun has left my life...

at least for now. After reaching a record high of 69* yesterday, today it is only 51. It is windy, cloudy, looks like rain in the mountains, with expected rain on the valley floor by this evening. I guess the ground hog wasn't aware of the weather out here in Nevada.

I have a busy afternoon/evening ahead of me. I have to do grocery shopping at some point, take Sienna in for her shots because she goes back in to finish up her training on Saturday, take dinner in to my neighbor who has 4 sick kids, and has been very sick herself with no hubby at home to help (why I agreed to do that I'll never know, busy as I am, and as bad a cook as I am), and do some much needed laundry and housework because tomorrow night I have a presidency meeting at my house.

My friend just lost a baby last night. My heart goes out to her. I went through 4 miscarriages just to get my three. I know how devastating it is and what she's going through.

Life is just crazy right now, and I wish I could just put my head in the sand until it all gets better.

Both my sisters are not doing good right now, and I really worry about them. My mom is sick, my dad is having such a hard time. My daughter and my hubby are sick. And I've got some things going on in my own personal life that I'm having some problems with, and I'm not sure how to solve them...and basically life just stinks right now for me. I know I will get through it, but man, getting there is going to be tough. I really hate not having a good handle on life, and I hate the unexpected, and it's all coming at me right now...no handle, and major unexpected stuff...I feel like crying most of the time. And my face and neck are just breaking out in zits like mad. I don't do well with stress. Plus I'm pretty sure I have seasonal depression disorder.

Tomorrow I have some training here at work on a new computer program, but after that, I think I may just go home sick and climb in bed and get away from life for a couple of hours. What I need is a vacation in front of a tourqoise beach somewhere...Tahti, Carabean...you get the idea.

Two Things to be Happy About!

First, the groundhog DID NOT see his shadow this morning, so we don't have to suffer with 6 more weeks of winter this year. It already feels like spring here...Monday is supposed to reach a high of 61*

Second...I have lost 9 pounds. Weighed myself a while ago on the scales here at work, so I know they are correct, because they are checked twice a year by the state. I am so happy! Swim suit season here I come!

Still out for the count...

Kylie missed another day of school. She is so sick. I was hoping she'd get better, but overnight, her bark, I mean her cough got worse, her eyes are sunken, and she is WHITE!!!!

Rhett is feeling fine, but woke up this morning with 2 cold sores on his upper lip, one in the middle, one on the left side. Poor kid.

As of this very moment, Jason, Anthony and I are fine. I doubled up on Vitamin C, so now I'm probably at over-dose levels (can you o-d on Vitamin C?) but I just can't get sick, I CAN'T!!!!!

On a happy note, it is 50*, and there are only 140 more days until summer!
